5) High pigtails
As already described, pigtails are a perfect solution for cutting hair. The low ones are very useful for removing split ends, and for the cleanest and straightest cuts, while high pigtails are more convenient for layering. Before proceeding, divide your hair into 4 equal sections. Starting from the front pigtails, hold the scissors horizontally for a clean cut, or diagonally to keep the original layering. At this point you can start cutting the pigtails on the back, always remembering to keep them longer than front ones.
