This is one of the most common mistakes. Starting from floors will soon prove to be completely useless. As a matter of fact, removing the dust from the floors and dusting the surfaces afterwards will end up with the dust settling on the floor again. The correct order should be: windows, furniture, surfaces and finally floor.
