3) Scented geranium
Among the most common balcony plants, geranium is the most effective against mosquitoes. Of all the existing species, the best ones to ward off mosquitoes are three. Scented geranium, the oldest, gives off a pungent lemon and lemongrass odor. The stems are thicker and fleshier than the other types. It tends to grow tall with clustered flowers.
