4) Face sniffing
Cats wouldn’t be cats if it weren’t for their contagious curiosity. By sniffing, they can immediately understand what’s going on and who’s around them. There’s no need to be afraid if your feline friend approaches your face to sniff it, because it’s simply looking for a way to make sure you’re not a stranger. Breathing your scent has thus a calming effect, and helps them feel more comfortable.
