3) Microwave popcorn
Diacetyl is what makes popcorn fresh out of the microwave delicious, but when heated, this substance
turns into smoke, and that’s toxic. Even the top of the bag is carcinogenic. And last but not least,
popcorn producers are not required to declare whether the corn kernels are GMO or not, which means
they probably are. Alternative: buy organic corn and prepare your popcorn with a bit of olive oil.
