5) Sleeping on the left side promotes lymphatic drainage

Lymphatic system prevents fluids from accumulating in tissues and is a natural defense system of our body. As a matter of fact, along the lymphatic ducts are lymphocytes: they produce white blood cells, which are responsible for the reduction of hostile microorganisms. Therefore, it is advisable to sleep on the left side, because it is on this side that lymphatic activity is mostly concentrated. Sleeping in this position will promote the elimination of excess fluids, fats and proteins.
