When using a hygienic protection such as a tampons or pads, the blood is trapped and creates a favorable habitat for the Staphylococcus to develop. This bacterium causes a Toxic Shock Syndrome. Moreover, you should always wash your hands right before and aftyer wearing sanitary products. It is advisable to change pads every 4-8 hours and read the instructions carefully.
